BlackRock’s spot Bitcoin ETF under the ticker symbol IBIT raised about $500 million in the first two days of its launch. This significantly exceeds the expectations of analysts, who predicted an inflow of about $200 million.
The total trading volume in the IBIT ETF during this time was more than $1.6 billion.
Inflows into other Bitcoin funds have also been significant. The net inflow of funds into 11 Bitcoin funds amounted to $819 million. The only fund that recorded an outflow of funds was GBTC from Grayscale Investments. In two days, $579 million was withdrawn from the fund. Experts believe that the main reason for the outflow of funds from GBTC is the inflated commission of 1.5%.
